Germany produced a dominant display to defeat Curaçao 7-1 in their World Cup Group B clash at Houston Stadium.
Felix Nmecha opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Curaçao briefly levelled through Livano Comenencia in the 21st minute.

The Germans quickly regained control, with Nico Schlotterbeck restoring the lead in the 38th minute. Kai Havertz extended the advantage deep into first-half stoppage time to give Germany a 3-1 lead at the break.
Jamal Musiala added a fourth goal two minutes into the second half as Germany continued to dominate proceedings. Nathaniel Brown made it 5-1 in the 68th minute before Deniz Undav got on the scoresheet 10 minutes later.
Havertz completed his brace in the 88th minute to seal an emphatic 7-1 victory for the four-time world champions.
Germany controlled 65 per cent of possession and registered 26 shots compared to Curaçao’s 11. The Germans also recorded 11 shots on target, underlining their attacking superiority throughout the contest.
The result gives Germany a strong start to their World Cup campaign, while Curaçao will look to bounce back in their next group match.
