In a startling revelation on his official Twitter feed, MP, Dr Clement Abas Apaak of the National Democratic Congress (), has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party () and its campaign team of using public office to amass wealth for personal gain.

The MP further alleged that the 's Vice President, Dr , is involved in the distribution of vehicles and cash to party members, drawing attention to what he describes as a misuse of public resources.

Dr Apaak shared a leaked confidential document on his Twitter feed, which he claims is a circular outlining the distribution of items to special delegates, supposedly for the upcoming NPP campaign.

The circular, dated July 18, 2023, is addressed to all regional coordinators and signed by Sir Obama Pokuase, the General Secretary of an organization known as BMW (presumably Bawumia Must Win).

According to the leaked document, the following items are listed for distribution to specific party members:

  1. Logistics per Person: GH¢ 220,000 (presumably in cash)
  2. MPs: Toyota Hilux and an assurance of their seats
  3. Regional Chairmen: Toyota Hilux and GH¢ 200,000.00
  4. Other Regional Executives: Toyota Corolla and GH¢ 50,000
  5. Constituency Chairmen: Motorbike and GH¢ 30,000

The document emphasizes the need for strict confidentiality regarding this distribution. It also mentions that the rest of the delegates will be handled at the national level.

Dr. Apaak didn't stop there; he posted an image of Newspaper's front page bearing the headline “$1m, €300,000 & millions of cedis stolen from 's home.” The context clear, but it appears to add weight to the MP's claims of within the NPP.
