The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has initiated an audit of frequency authorisations as part of its broader effort to safeguard state resources.
The Minister has directed the Acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) to provide a list of all frequency authorisations issued or renewed within the past 60 days. This directive forms the initial phase of a comprehensive review aimed at ensuring transparency and compliance in the broadcasting sector.
The move aligns with the government’s Operation Recover All Loot initiative, which seeks to reclaim state assets that have been allocated to private entities through unlawful or improper means. The Ministry has emphasized its commitment to enforcing due process and protecting public resources.
