President John Dramani Mahama has officially submitted the names of ten individuals for approval by Parliament to serve as Deputy Ministers in his government. In accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the Constitution, the nominations were presented through the Speaker for prior approval.

The President has also nominated Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State, Public Sector Reforms.
