Today, President Nana Akufo-Addo will visit the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah to mark the official commencement of oil production from the Jubilee South Area.
This milestone highlights a significant joint venture with a $1 billion investment from its partners and is set to contribute 30,000 barrels of oil per day to the Jubilee Field's production by the end of this year.
President Akufo-Addo's visit includes interactions with selected staff on board the FPSO and inspections of key sections of the KNK. Following these activities, a commemorative luncheon in Takoradi will be attended by the President.
The partners involved in this venture hold the following interests:
- Tullow Oil: 38.978%
- Kosmos Energy: 24.077%
- Kosmos Energy Ghana Investments: 14.534%
- Ghana National Petroleum Corporation: 13.641%
- Petro SA: 2.725%
- Jubilee Oil Holdings Limited: 6.045%
