
Hon. Davis Ansah Opoku is the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso, hailing from Obomeng Kwahu and representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana’s 8th Parliament. Born on Thursday, 13th September 1984, he is a Christian and an influential voice in legislative affairs, serving as Vice Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee and a member of the Information and Communications Committee.
His educational background reflects an impressive breadth of expertise. He holds a BSc in Laboratory Technology from the University of Cape Coast (2009), an LLB from the University of London (2018), and an LLM from the University of Ghana (2024). He also earned an MPhil from the University of Johannesburg (2024), a Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Leicester (2019), and academic credentials from Theodor Heuss Academy (2011), the London School of Economics and Political Science (2024), and McGill University (2025). His academic foundation was laid at Presbyterian Senior School, Nkwatia, where he obtained his SSSCE in 2002.

Before entering Parliament, Hon. Opoku was Chief Executive of Siri Communications Limited and served as Deputy Director at the National Health Insurance Authority, where he was Executive Assistant to the CEO. Today, he combines private sector experience, academic depth, and political leadership to drive development and strengthen governance.
