
Hon. Ayariga Mahama is the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, elected on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He hails from Bawku and was born on Sunday, 12th May 1974. A practicing Muslim, he is one of the longest-serving legislators in the Fourth Republic, having represented his constituency in the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Parliaments.
He qualified as a Barrister-at-Law from the Ghana School of Law in November 1999, establishing his foundation in legal practice before transitioning fully into politics.

In Parliament, Hon. Ayariga holds key leadership positions. He chairs the Business Committee, the Independent Constitutional Bodies Committee, and the Special Committee (Winnowing). He is also a member of the Committee of Selection, the Standing Orders Committee, and the Committee on Security and Intelligence.
