Christiana Agyapong urges NPP delegates to vote for husband Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as 2028 presidential flagbearer for development and youth empowerment

Mrs Christiana Agyapong, wife of New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2028 presidential hopeful Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has called on party delegates to support her husband for his commitment to development, job creation, and youth empowerment.

Speaking to female polling station organisers, secretaries, chairpersons, and former women constituency organisers and electoral area coordinators in Dormaa-Ahenkro, Bono Region, Mrs Agyapong emphasised that her husband’s passion for development remained unparalleled.

She stated that with Mr Agyapong, also a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, as the NPP’s flagbearer, the party could regain political power.

She highlighted that a government led by her husband would continue the implementation of human-centred policies and programmes of previous administrations, generating employment opportunities for the youth.

Mrs Agyapong also addressed similar campaigns in Nkrankwanta in Dormaa West and Wamfie in Dormaa East constituencies.

“My husband is competent and has earned an enviable reputation in the business community, creating more job opportunities for the youth. His philanthropic activities are glaring for all to see,” she said.

She cited his contributions, including the procurement of a standard generator for Tamale Hospital, the evacuation of 1,000 Ghanaians from Lebanon, and the provision of hospital beds and mattresses to various health facilities nationwide.

Describing Mr Agyapong as extremely generous and supportive of people regardless of background, Mrs Agyapong concluded, “In fact, my husband is the most favourable and best candidate to lead the NPP in the Election 2028.”

Mr Siaka Stephen, former Bono Deputy Regional Minister and Chairman of the Bono Regional Campaign Team for Mr Agyapong, also urged delegates to make informed decisions and vote for the aspirant in the upcoming presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.
