The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action in response to the shocking death of Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Royal Cozy Hills Hotel, known locally as “Jirapa Dubai,” in the Upper West Region. Mr. Johnson's body was discovered on February 11, 2024, in one of the hotel rooms, surrounded by a pool of blood.
According to a statement from the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police Service in Accra, investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mr Johnson's death have commenced. The Regional Crime Scene Management Team has visited the scene, and one individual has been detained to assist in the ongoing investigation.
In a bid to ensure a thorough and comprehensive investigation, the Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo-Dampare, has deployed a team of seasoned investigators and experts. Led by the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department, this team will collaborate closely with the Upper West Regional Police Command.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the Jirapa Dubai community, with residents living in fear following the alleged murder of the prominent CEO. Royal Cozy Hills Hotel, known as the largest hospitality facility in the Upper West Region, has been deeply affected by the loss of Mr Johnson.
