Daniel Nkansah, the founder of New Pentecost Vision Church, has been remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court for failing to appear before it.
Nkansah, along with his son, Daniel Boahene Nkansah, is facing charges of conspiracy and defrauding by false pretences.
The duo is accused of collecting over two million from a businessman under the guise of selling landed properties in various locations, including Achimota, Radio Gold, and Mataheko.
However, when the court session commenced, Daniel Nkansah was conspicuously absent, while his son, Daniel Boahene Nkansah, was present.
In response, the court, presided over by Mrs. Afia Owusua Appiah, issued a bench warrant for Prophet Nkansah's arrest.
Subsequently, the police apprehended Prophet Nkansah, and he was arraigned before the court.
The court has remanded him into custody until December 20, 2023, when both father and son are expected to enter their pleas.
