According to statistics released by the Regional Director, Mr. Nuhu Mohammed, 14,767 registrants are male, while 12,120 are female.
A total of 282 individuals, suspected to be minors, were challenged during the registration process.
Mr. Mohammed extended his appreciation to all EC officials and party executives who dedicated tireless efforts to ensure the smooth operation of the exercise.
He also expressed gratitude to the registrants who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in the registration, enabling them to become eligible voters.
While the limited registration exercise officially ended on October 2, 2023, Mr. Mohammed emphasized that this would not be the final registration exercise before the upcoming general election. He assured the EC would launch another round of continuous registration in 2024.
Mr. Mohammed also informed the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that replacing missing Voter ID cards had commenced on October 3, 2023, at all EC district offices.
To obtain a replacement, individuals are required to pay a fee of GH₵10 via the shortcode 2221067#.
