Mr Akonor explained that much of the Council’s operations depended on discreet, behind-the-scenes engagements with conflicting parties, noting that media support had helped strengthen these efforts.
“We do more of what we call back channels, where we engage competing parties separately and through other means to ensure that we are doing our work,” he noted.
Mr Charles Ohene-Amoah, Central Regional Executive Secretary of the NPC, also expressed satisfaction with the Council’s ongoing work in resolving conflicts and promoting social cohesion.
In an interview, he highlighted the substantial progress made in addressing disputes across the region, stressing that the Council remained committed to advancing peace and stability nationwide.
“We are delighted with our work, especially on conflict resolution,” he said, reaffirming the NPC’s dedication to fostering unity and lasting harmony.
