Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been declared a fugitive by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
At a press briefing on Wednesday, February 12, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng stated, “The fugitive’s name is Kenneth Ofori-Atta.”
The declaration follows allegations of financial misconduct, including causing financial loss to the state in dealings related to the National Cathedral project and Ghana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) contract with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML).
The OSP’s decision marks a significant development in ongoing corruption investigations involving high-profile government officials. Further actions regarding Ofori-Atta’s status are expected in the coming days.
