The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially opened nominations for its presidential primary election. This decision was reached during the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meetings held on Monday, April 3, 2023.
According to the approved timelines, the opening of nominations began on Friday, May 26, 2023, and will continue until Saturday, June 24, 2023. If necessary, special Electoral College elections will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023, leading up to the National Congress scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Aspiring presidential candidates can obtain nomination forms from the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters in Asylum Down. The forms will be available from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
To obtain the nomination forms, aspiring candidates must pay a non-refundable nomination fee of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢50,000.00) through a Banker's Draft issued to the New Patriotic Party National Headquarters, Accra as the payee.
