Jefferson Kwamena Sackey, the NPP parliamentary aspirant for Ablekuma Central, has set aside GH¢100,000 as soft loans for NPP supporters, specifically targeting women in the constituency.
The interest-free loan ranges from GH¢500 to GH¢1000 and aims to provide financial empowerment to women in the constituency.
During the launch of the Jefferson Sackey Women Empowerment Fund, Mr Sackey expressed, “In my daily interactions, many people, especially women, approach me seeking financial assistance to invest in their businesses, with some even requesting as low as GH¢100.”
He further stated, “After contemplating for a few days, I decided to establish this fund to help empower these women financially.”

As the Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency, the parliamentary aspirant has initiated various programs within the constituency, including the registration of NPP supporters for the National Health Insurance Scheme and the distribution of books to schools in the area.
Mr Sackey intends to pick up nomination forms this year to compete in the NPP parliamentary primaries in Ablekuma Central, leading up to the 2024 elections.
