The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has launched a manhunt for Gifty Oware-Mensah, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), as investigations into a payroll scandal escalate.

Oware-Mensah is reportedly on the run amid allegations of financial irregularities in the NSA payroll system, including the insertion of ghost names that have resulted in significant losses to the state. Reports by 3news.com indicate that security agencies are actively pursuing her for questioning.

Her search follows the recent arrest of Kwaku Ohene Gyan, the former NSA Deputy Director of Operations, who was taken into custody by the NIB on the evening of Saturday, February 22, 2025. He remains under investigation as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the fraudulent activities.

Investigators believe Oware-Mensah possesses critical information regarding the payroll scandal, and efforts have been intensified to locate her. Security agencies are also tracking down other individuals suspected to be involved in the alleged fraud.
