The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (), , has declared the party's flagbearer, , as the most suitable candidate to safeguard the public purse, describing him as ‘incorruptible.'

Addressing attendees at the party's ‘Moments of Truth' series in , Gyamfi emphasized Mahama's unwavering commitment to combat if elected on December 7. He drew a sharp contrast with the governing New Patriotic Party's () flagbearer, Dr , questioning his credibility in the fight against corruption.

Gyamfi argued that Mahama has consistently demonstrated a strong aversion to corruption, pledging to end the era of the “corruption clearing agent” when he assumes office. In contrast, he accused Bawumia of being dishonest and corrupt, stating that the failed Vice President lacked the integrity to combat corruption effectively.

“H.E John Dramani Mahama has demonstrated, both in government and out of government, that he detests corruption, and will never condone corruption, nor shield perpetrators of corrupt acts. He has stated clearly, that the days of the corruption clearing agent will come to an end on January 7, 2025, when by the grace of God, he assumes office as President. John Mahama is incorruptible,” Gyamfi asserted.

However, he expressed scepticism about Bawumia's commitment to fighting corruption and accused the -Bawumia administration of failing to address corruption after seven years in power. Gyamfi urged voters to reject the ruling party in the December polls.

“We call on the Ghanaian electorate not to allow President Akufo-Addo and his corrupt cabal of family and friends to install as President their puppet (Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia), whose sole mission is to cover up the many ills of this remarkably corrupt administration and insulate wrongdoers, including himself, from prosecution.”

The NDC National Communications Officer concluded by expressing confidence that the people of Ghana would reject corruption, nepotism, impunity, arrogance of power, and economic mismanagement in the upcoming elections.
