The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region is set to meet with Juliana Kinang-Wassan, a failed Parliamentary aspirant for Ejura-Sekyedumase, who gained attention for spraying cash during the party's recent parliamentary and presidential primaries.
Prior to the invitation from the NDC, Kinang-Wassan had already been summoned by the office of the Special Prosecutor to provide answers regarding her actions.
Sources reveal that the meeting between the party's leadership and the former aspirant will focus on addressing the party's constitution and the implications of her behaviour.
In a viral video, Kinang-Wassan was captured showering money on delegates, party supporters, and bystanders upon her arrival at the voting centre in Ejura during the elections.
Her actions caused a significant uproar at the voting centre, leading voters to abandon the voting booths in order to grab cash from the MP aspirant.
The denominations of the cash ranged from as low as 5 Ghana cedis to as high as GH¢100 notes.
Her behaviour has faced strong condemnation from a section of the public, with calls for her to face disciplinary action from the party.
