International Evangelist Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, President and Founder of Worldwide Outreach Ministry, has urged Members of Parliament (MPs) and politicians to uphold the integrity of their positions and ensure their actions reflect the title “honourable.”
Speaking at the Prayerfest2025 event held by the Maranatha Assembly of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) in Tema, Dr. Tetteh condemned the disruption of the vetting of Ministerial Nominees on January 30, which led to the destruction of some equipment. He described the incident as “very unfortunate” and called on MPs to create an atmosphere that commands respect from the public.
Dr. Tetteh emphasized the need for MPs to lead by example, rise above their emotions, and remember they represent the people of Ghana, not just themselves. He also called for national prayers for Parliament, citing a similar disruption in 2021 and urging MPs to avoid emotional reactions that undermine their credibility.
The event, which marked the climax of a week-long prayer and fasting program under the theme “The God of Heaven, He will Prosper Us,” aimed to seek divine blessings for the country in the new year. Rev. Iddi Yire, Resident Pastor of Maranatha Assembly, expressed gratitude to Dr. Tetteh for his spiritual guidance and impartations during the event.
