The festive atmosphere at the Accra Polo Club on Christmas Eve was amplified with excitement as Lead for Ghana, a prominent leadership development organization, officially inducted the 2021 Fellows into its distinguished alumni group.
The event, attended by approximately 30 Fellows along with their families, friends, and special guests, was marked by a delightful celebration featuring culinary delights and soulful serenades.
The induction ceremony aimed to honour the accomplishments of the Fellows and encourage them to serve as exemplary ambassadors of Lead for Ghana in their future endeavours.
Amidst the joyous festivities, Mr Daniel Dotse, President of Lead for Ghana, addressed the audience, imparting words of wisdom to the graduates.
“Remember, the impact you have made thus far is just the beginning. There are horizons yet to be explored, challenges to be met, and trials to be celebrated. As you venture into the world, I encourage you to hold on to the spirit of Lead for Ghana, a spirit of leadership, excellence, and transformation,” urged Mr Dotse.
Madam Irene Jacquelinda Attabra, Municipal Director of Education, Krachi West, and a beneficiary of Lead for Ghana's program, commended the Fellows and the initiators of the program.
She highlighted the positive contributions made by the 2021 Fellows in overcoming educational challenges in the district.
“As a district, we are faced with issues of teacher deficit, furniture deficit, poor infrastructures, poor reading and comprehension skills of learners, and lack of interest by learners in pursuing higher education. However, with the presence and assistance of the 2021 Fellows, the schools/district have been able to surmount some of these challenges,” shared Madam Attabra.
Mr. Stephen Opoku Yeboah, a Fellow, shared his transformative experiences, expressing how working with Lead for Ghana brought out leadership skills he didn't know he possessed.
He highlighted the initiative and creativity fostered during his service as a teacher in a community.
Before the celebratory dinner, Lead for Ghana partnered with the Accra Polo Club to entertain guests with thrilling polo games.
The event served a dual purpose by raising funds to support the organization's impactful work.
Lead for Ghana, dedicated to equipping youths with strong leadership skills, focuses on the educational space as the prime arena for cultivating future leaders.
The induction ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the 2021 Fellows but also showcased the organization's commitment to fostering leadership excellence among Ghana's youth.
