Joseph Andoh of Mfantsipm School emerged victorious in the highly-anticipated 100 meters race during the Central Region edition of Ghana's Fastest Human (GFH) competition held in Cape Coast on Saturday.
Andoh showcased exceptional speed, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 10.25 seconds, securing the first position.
Bokpim Mustapha Alufar from the University of Ghana followed closely behind, clocking in at 10.31 seconds to claim second place. GAF-Western secured the third spot with a time of 10.51 seconds.
In the Females Seniors Category, Deborah Acheampong representing the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) exhibited remarkable performance, clinching the first position with a time of 11.63 seconds.
Naseera Quansah from Mfantseman Girls Senior High School secured second place, completing the race in 11.75 seconds. Pomaavmaeiam Domfe finished third with a time of 11.97 seconds.
The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of various organizations including GNPC, GCB Bank, Adidas, Moringa King, Pippas Gym, Wrenco, Sports Equity Lab, Kriate Lync, and Global Media Alliance.
Dr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah, Deputy Chairman of the Local Organising Committee of Accra2023 African Games, commended all the participating athletes for their remarkable efforts and contributions to the competition.
