Ghana and Sierra Leone have convened a Technical Session of the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC) in Accra to strengthen bilateral relations.
The meeting, held on April 21, 2026, brought together senior officials from both countries to advance structured dialogue and cooperation across key sectors.

Chief Director of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu, said the session activates a mechanism established in 2013 and builds on longstanding ties rooted in mutual respect. She urged focus on areas including trade and investment, defence and security, agriculture, energy and health.
Sierra Leone’s Director-General of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alan C.E. Logan, described the meeting as a step toward translating shared goals into tangible outcomes. He reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to strengthening economic ties and leveraging Ghana’s experience, particularly in agriculture.
