Endeavour Mining says its mining operations in Burkina Faso remain unaffected despite the country’s recent political upheaval following its second military coup of the year.
The company, Burkina Faso’s largest gold producer, confirmed that operations at its four gold mines—Houndé, Mana, Boungou and Wahgnion—continue without disruption. It also said it is closely monitoring developments and will provide further updates if necessary.

Burkina Faso is a key production hub for Endeavour Mining, with its operations in the country accounting for more than half of the company’s expected annual gold output. The miner also operates gold mines in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
Following the announcement, Endeavour Mining’s London-listed shares fell by 1.6%.
Meanwhile, West African Resources reported that its Sanbrado gold mine continues to operate normally, with employees, contractors and surrounding communities remaining safe. However, the company’s shares dropped 10%, reaching a one-year low.
IAMGOLD, which operates the Essakane gold mine in Burkina Faso, did not comment on the potential impact of the political situation on its operations.
