Ghanaians using DStv are set to enjoy significant upgrades and savings starting October 1, 2025, following a new agreement between the government and MultiChoice Africa.

Minister for Communications, Sam George, announced the development in Accra on September 29, explaining that the arrangement would deliver 33% to 50% more value depending on the subscriber’s package.

“This new arrangement means Ghanaians will get more services for less. It is a commitment by MultiChoice to respond to the concerns of subscribers in Ghana, and the offer is unmatched anywhere else in Africa,” Mr. George said.

Automatic Package Upgrades & Savings

  • Pady bouquet (GH¢59) → upgraded to Access (GH¢99) with 35 extra channels, saving 40%.
  • Access bouquet (GH¢99) → upgraded to Family (GH¢190) with 19 extra channels, saving 48%.
  • Family bouquet (GH¢190) → upgraded to Compact (GH¢380) with 22 extra channels, including live football, saving 50%.
  • Compact (GH¢380) → upgraded to Compact Plus (GH¢570) with 12 extra channels, saving 33%.
  • Compact Plus (GH¢570) → upgraded to Premium (GH¢865) with 18 extra channels, saving 34%.

Premium subscribers (GH¢865) will continue enjoying the full package and will also enter a competition to win a fully paid trip to watch selected English Premier League matches, subject to terms and conditions.

The Minister emphasised that there will be no restrictions on bouquet choice, and the offer applies automatically to both existing and new customers from October 1, 2025.

This move is seen as one of the largest value-enhancing initiatives by MultiChoice specifically for Ghanaian subscribers.
