Kennedy Agyapong, a contender for the New Patriotic Party's flagbearer position, has vehemently dismissed claims that he lacks the intellectual capacity and temperament necessary for the role of President.
He reaffirmed his commitment to lead the NPP in the 2024 elections and outlined why he believes he is the most qualified candidate.
Agyapong addressed these concerns by highlighting the significant support he enjoys from a notable group of university professors, lecturers, and professionals who are ready to collaborate with him.
He stressed their belief that “Kennedy Agyapong has a message” and can lead the NPP to victory in the upcoming elections.
He revealed that he has personally met with at least 45 professionals in Accra and has plans to engage with lecturers at KNUST. These intellectuals recognised and endorsed his vision for Ghana, according to Agyapong, who urged Ghanaians to give him the opportunity to lead.
During a health walk event titled “The Showdown Walk” in Accra on Saturday, September 16th, Agyapong shared some of his practical plans for leading the NPP in 2024.
He appealed to voters not to be swayed by monetary inducements when making their choice, emphasizing that their votes would shape their destiny and the future of their descendants.
Agyapong stressed the importance of having pragmatic leaders who can effectively communicate in local dialects such as Twi, Ayigbe (Ewe), and Dagbani, envisioning these actions as catalysts for tangible economic improvements for ordinary citizens.
In his closing remarks, Agyapong highlighted the trust and support he has garnered from voters, citing his track record as a successful businessman and philanthropist.
He emphasized the need to give a businessman the opportunity to lead and underscored his business acumen as a distinguishing factor among the contestants, including those from the opposition NDC.
