Lynx Entertainment signee, KiDi, has publicly dismissed rumours about his health, stating that he does not have liver disease.
In an interview on Lynx TV's Stripped show, the artiste sought to clarify speculations about his supposed declining health status, which had been making rounds in the media for the past two months.
“I want to state categorically, I don't have a liver disease,” KiDi affirmed, adding that the lyrics of his latest song, “I Lied,” which had fueled rumours of a health challenge, had nothing to do with his personal health status.
KiDi's comments come after public discussions about his health began in March, with reports in some sections of the media that the Enjoyment hitmaker was down with a stroke.
The rumours gained traction when KiDi went silent on social media after cancelling his upcoming US tour, citing health problems.
In a statement issued by his management, the reports were dismissed, with the assurance that KiDi was not down with a stroke.
However, the artiste later explained in a Facebook post on April 14 that he had taken a break from the music scene to focus on his health, contradicting claims of being struck by a stroke.
“A little under two months ago, I made the painful decision of cancelling my tour to take care of my health that included taking time off social media,” KiDi explained.
Despite the statement, KiDi's latest song's lyrics seemed to fuel more speculations about his health, with fans interpreting lines such as “If I show you my liver, You go take me to prayer. Don't wait till I'm under 6 feet I'm gone…” to suggest that he was suffering from liver cancer.
