Mrs. Hannah Asamoah, the Agona East Constituency Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has secured victory in the parliamentary primaries, earning the opportunity to contest the 2024 elections.
In a decisive win, Mrs. Asamoah garnered 396 votes out of the 657 total valid votes cast, defeating Mr. Prince Yaw Essah, the First Vice Chairman of the constituency, who obtained 259 votes.
The transparent and incident-free primary was overseen by Mrs. Patience Shebrah, the Agona East Director of the Electoral Commission.
After the declaration of results, Mrs. Asamoah expressed her gratitude to the delegates for their confidence and trust.
She pledged to translate her overwhelming victory into hard work and a collaborative team spirit to secure success in the December 7, 2024 polls.
Mrs. Asamoah extended an appeal to Mr. Prince Yaw Essah and his supporters, urging them to join forces for a united front in achieving the party's objectives.
