Global Media Foundation appoints Clement Boateng as Country Director

The Global Media Foundation (GloMeF), a -based human rights and media advocacy non-governmental organization, has announced the appointment of Mr. Clement Boateng as its new Country Director, effective February 1, 2024.

In a statement issued to the (GNA) in Sunyani, Mr Raphael Godlove Ahenu, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GloMeF, described Mr Boateng as an accomplished leader with a wealth of experience in communication and development.

Mr Boateng brings to his new role a background in community and international development, having held prominent positions in various organizations dedicated to driving positive change and sustainable development.

As Country Director, Mr. Boateng will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of GloMeF's operations in Ghana, including strategic planning, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement. His leadership will play a crucial role in guiding the organization to address pressing social and economic challenges in the country.

In a telephone interview with the GNA, Mr. Boateng expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead GloMeF and work with a talented team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Ghanaians. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and inclusivity in driving progress, pledging to work closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Mr. Boateng brings extensive experience in development communication, youth empowerment, advocacy, project management, and resource mobilization to his new role. He has previously worked with organizations such as the Youth Empowerment for Life and the Agriculture for Nutrition and Poverty Alleviation program.

He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Amity University, , and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Development Studies from the , Ghana. Additionally, he is an Acumen Fellow and a member of both the African Network of Environmental Journalists and the .

With his appointment, GloMeF looks forward to advancing its mission under Mr Boateng's leadership, leveraging innovative solutions and partnerships to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Ghanaians.
