, Ghana – Ghanaian actor Yaw Dabo paid a visit to Chef Failatu Abdul Razak at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale in a show of solidarity and appreciation for such extraordinary achievements.

Chef Failatu is on a mission to break the for the longest cooking marathon.

During the visit, Yaw Dabo, known for his roles in films and as the owner of Dabo Football Academy, shared his enthusiasm for traditional Ghanaian cuisine, particularly expressing his love for fufu.

He mentioned his desire to enjoy a meal of fufu, a dish deeply rooted in Ghanaian culinary heritage if Chef Failatu was preparing it.

“So I will eat fufu,” stated Yaw Dabo during the visit.

In an interview, the actor extended a call to the public, including fellow celebrities and politicians, to rally behind Chef Failatu, drawing parallels with the support shown to Afua Asantewaa during her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for a sing-a-thon in .

“Our sister is doing a cooking marathon; it is not easy to cook for five days. I am a cook, and I know how to cook, but I can’t do it. So I am happy for what our sister [Chef Faila] is doing, so let’s appreciate her,” Yaw Dabo emphasized.

He further urged people from all 16 regions of Ghana to gather and show their support for Chef Failatu, akin to the overwhelming support witnessed in Accra for Afua Asantewaa’s record-breaking endeavour.

“The current Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon is held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes. Chef Failatu aims to cook for 120 hours and set a new record,” concluded the actor, highlighting the ambitious goal Chef Failatu is pursuing.
