The Ghana Publishing Company is set to expand its operational capacity with the immediate implementation of a 24-hour economy policy, a move announced by the company’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Nana Kwasi Boatey.
At a handing-over ceremony, Boatey emphasized that the initiative is aimed at optimizing productivity, increasing sales, and creating more job opportunities. He assured staff of management’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition into the new system.
“We are ready to practicalize the President’s vision of a 24-hour economy immediately. This will enable us to double our production, sales, and workforce, ensuring greater efficiency and output,” he stated.
Outgoing CEO David Asante reflected on the company’s progress under his leadership, highlighting improvements in financial stability and infrastructure. He noted that the firm had moved from having just GH¢80,000 in its accounts to holding millions of cedis, expanding its reach with a new Kumasi branch, and acquiring advanced printing machinery.
With this policy shift, the Ghana Publishing Company is positioning itself to play a key role in the country’s broader economic transformation while enhancing its competitiveness in the publishing industry.
