The Ghana Police Men and Army Women emerged victorious at the recently concluded 2023 Super Volleyball Championship held at the Ghana International School in Accra.
The competition featured six clubs from each group, competing against each other in an exciting showcase of volleyball talent.
In the men's category, the Police Men's team secured victory by defeating El Wak Wings in the final match, earning them the Gold medal.
On the women's side, the Army Women's team emerged triumphant by beating the Air Force Women's team in their final, securing the top spot and the Gold medal.
The Army Men's team and Police Ladies' team both earned bronze medals for their performances in the tournament.
The championship showcased the competitive spirit and skills of the participating teams, providing an opportunity for volleyball enthusiasts and supporters to witness high-level volleyball action.
In addition to celebrating the success of the tournament, stakeholders in Ghana Volleyball are reportedly planning to build a state-of-the-art volleyball court with essential facilities.
These facilities will include administrative offices, catering services, and dressing rooms to enhance the overall volleyball experience.
The officials of the Ghana Volleyball Association and the Greater Accra Regional Association expressed their appreciation to Mr Mohammed Awudu Aputeog for his vision and support for players and volleyball enthusiasts.
Mr Aputeog, in turn, pledged that the organizers would make adequate preparations for an even bigger event next year, learning from the challenges faced during the 2023 Super Volleyball Championship.
