Mr. Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Board Chair of Ghana Gas, has assured consumers that the ongoing major maintenance works at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant will be completed on schedule.
The plant was shut down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for a two-week maintenance exercise, including some works being undertaken for the first time in 11 years since the plant became operational.
On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Mr. Quakyi, together with the governing board of directors, visited the facility to assess progress. The board expressed satisfaction with the work done so far on the ninth day of the 14-day planned schedule.
Commending the technical team, Mr. Quakyi praised their dedication and urged them to continue safeguarding the Atuabo Plant, describing it as a vital state asset crucial to Ghana‘s energy sector.
