GNFS intensifies fire safety education in Samreboi

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has intensified fire safety education and inspection exercises in Samreboi and nearby communities in the Western Region.

The exercise, led by DOIII Sampson Asamoah, involved officers from the Asankrangwa Fire Station inspecting about 80 shops and removing more than 18 gas cylinders from commercial premises to reduce fire risks.

More than 130 shop owners and attendants were educated on fire prevention measures and encouraged to install fire extinguishers in shops, homes and vehicles for early fire control.

The team also visited Samreboi SDA Preparatory School, where over 80 pupils and teachers were educated on common causes of domestic fires and preventive measures.
