Presidential Staffer and Former Akuapem North MCE Dennis Edward Aboagye has directed a scathing response to the National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, over his comments on the data and evidence provided by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to support the government's claim of creating over 2 million jobs.
In a tweet, Aboagye criticized Gyamfi for not doing enough research and for misleading his followers on the issue.
Mr Aboagye accused Gyamfi of misleading his followers and not taking the time to read and learn before giving a rushed response.
Aboagye also criticized Gyamfi's logic on job creation vs unemployment rate, stating that it was a sad one.
He provided evidence from the 2020 annual report of SSNIT that showed over 1 million newly registered workers from 2017-2020. Aboagye argued that by Gyamfi's logic, Ghana should have had only 500,000 unemployed people in 2020, whereas the actual number was 1,551,118.
Aboagye called on Gyamfi to disarm himself of propaganda and start sticking to the truth and facts for the sake of sanity in political discourse. He ended his tweet by saying that he has a lot to learn and is always ready to learn quickly.
