The President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Mr Abraham Kotei Neequaye, expressed his confidence in Isaac Dogboe's ability to secure a world title before his tenure ends in 2025.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr Kotei emphasized that Dogboe is currently the leading boxer in the country and remains hopeful that he will make a comeback and regain global glory by winning a world title once again.

He stated, “Isaac is a leading champion at the GBA, and we are counting on him to bring us the world title. He is my hope, and I'm praying for him because I need a world title before my tenure ends. I am still supporting and praying for him to become a world champion again while also keeping an eye on the up-and-coming young boxers.”

Although Dogboe recently suffered a loss in his bid to become a world champion against Robeisy Ramirez in the WBO Super Bantamweight Championship, Mr Neequaye affirmed the federation's belief that Dogboe will bounce back and reclaim the world title.

Expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for their support during the fight, Dogboe assured them that the setback would not hinder their progress in boxing.

He stated, “On April 1, we didn't achieve what we wanted, but I want to emphasize that the loss should not and will not halt our progress in boxing. The most important thing now is for us to regroup and devise a plan of action. I have a plan, and I will come back stronger.”
