The statement explained that the teams will work alongside the North East Regional Police Command to intensify security patrols on major highways in the region to ensure the safety of commuters.

The Police Command further assured the general public, and residents of Nalerigu in particular, that investigations into the attacks and the burning of the houses are ongoing.

It added that all persons found to be involved in the incidents will be arrested and brought to justice.
