The special team, made up of intelligence officers and investigators, has been tasked to work with the regional police command to strengthen security in the community and identify those responsible for the attacks.

Police say the team will also assist in gathering intelligence and carrying out operations aimed at arresting the perpetrators and ensuring they face justice.

Authorities indicated that calm has since been restored in the town, while security personnel continue to maintain a strong presence to prevent further disturbances.

The Ghana Police Service has assured residents and the general public that efforts are underway to track down those involved in the attacks and bring them before the law.
