Akyem Kotoku State pledges support for government's security efforts

A delegation from the Akyem Kotoku State, led by His Gracious Majesty Oseadeeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV and accompanied by the Queen and other traditional leaders, has met with the Ministry of the Interior to discuss security and development within the traditional area.

During the meeting, the Omanhene commended the leadership, vision and ongoing efforts to strengthen Ghana’s security sector and encouraged the continuation of initiatives aimed at improving national security.

Discussions focused on security concerns within the Akyem Kotoku traditional area and opportunities for collaboration to enhance peace, safety and security.

The traditional leadership reaffirmed its readiness to work closely with the Ministry and the security services to address security challenges and pledged support through the provision of land and other assistance for security-related projects.

The Minister expressed appreciation to the chiefs and traditional leaders for their commitment to the development of the state and commended their decision to prioritise security.

Government also reiterated its commitment to retooling the security services and assured the delegation of continued collaboration to address the security needs of the Akyem Kotoku State.
