The Ghana Air Force Chief of the Air Staff, Eric Agyen-Frempong, has visited Air Force Base Accra to engage personnel and assess operational readiness.
The visit on April 21, 2026, included a briefing session with the Base Commander, Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson, on the base’s operational and administrative status.

Air Vice Marshal Agyen-Frempong toured facilities including the simulator house, warehouse, Bruce Hangar, and the Air Force Logistics Command.
At an all-ranks durbar, he commended personnel for their professionalism and urged them to maintain discipline.
He disclosed that the government is acquiring additional helicopters, noting that one H-175 was delivered in March 2026 to support operations and troop movements.
He also said plans are underway to establish additional forward operating bases to enhance air operations and response capabilities.
The Chief of the Air Staff further emphasised adherence to aviation safety protocols.
The visit ended with a presentation by Colonel Joseph Buame on retirement planning, the Provident Fund, and the Ghana Armed Forces Trust Fund.
