Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, has praised the organisers of the Democracy Cup for what he described as a well-timed and valuable initiative for Ghanaian football.
Coach Dramani said the tournament offered his side a timely platform to sharpen preparations for the upcoming season while giving players competitive exposure outside the league. “The Democracy Cup has come at a very good time for us. It allows the team to stay in shape, test our strategies, and give players valuable game-time experience. This is the sort of initiative that helps raise the standard of the local game,” he stated.

He further commended the organisers for putting together an event that not only fosters competition but also strengthens the link between football and civic celebration, uniting fans and promoting national pride. Supporters of the Phobians have also expressed excitement, welcoming the competition as a refreshing addition to the football calendar.
The second edition of the Democracy Cup will see Accra Hearts of Oak face city rivals Great Olympics on Friday, September 5, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
