A delegation led by Mr. Kwabena Boateng, Deputy Managing Director, Wholesale Banking, presented the cheque to Mr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, on Friday, August 22, 2025, during a courtesy visit to Jubilee House.

Other members of the delegation included Mr. John-Paul Taabavi, Acting Divisional Director for Corporate and Institutional Banking, and Ms. Adeline Aryee, Director for Financial Institutions Group. Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Boateng expressed the Bank’s condolences and emphasised the importance of unity in times of national tragedy.

“This is a moment that calls for national unity and support for one another. These were men of honour and service, and their sacrifice deserves tangible support for the families they have left behind. As a Ghanaian bank, it is of utmost importance that we play a significant role in supporting these families.”

We hope this contribution will help secure the future of their children and provide some comfort during this incredibly difficult time,” Mr. Boateng stated. Mr. Debrah conveyed the government’s appreciation and assured the delegation that the funds would be directed to the children of the fallen heroes to ensure their well-being and education.

He thanked Fidelity Bank’s management and board for their swift and generous support, noting the bank’s role in rallying national solidarity in the wake of tragedy.
