The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Tema Region from August 4 to August 9, 2026, to improve service delivery, resulting in temporary power outages from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, August 4, the affected areas are Irrigation, Central University, Miotso, Abia, Community 26, Shanghai, Kpone Township, Puma, Zardoor, C & J Hospital, Spintex Junction, Texpo, Commerce Hotel and surrounding communities.

On Wednesday, August 5, the outage will affect Adjei Kojo, Sydal Farms, Japan City, Teteman, Global, American Academy, Heaven Nti, 71 Block Factory, Community 19 Annex, Klagon and surrounding areas.
On Thursday, August 6, power will be interrupted at Nungua Polyclinic, Maranatha Church, Jericho, Roman Down, Underbridge Market, State School for the Deaf, Safisana, Kanawu, BBF and surrounding communities.
On Sunday, August 9, the maintenance will affect the Motorway Axle Bridge, Nutri Foods, Toyota Sales Office and surrounding areas.
ECG apologised for the inconvenience and urged customers in the affected areas to take the necessary precautions during the maintenance period.
