Mr. Djamgmah has been elected as the Presiding Member of the District Assembly in accordance with Article 244 of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), and the Model Standing Orders.
In his acceptance speech, he thanked Assembly Members for their confidence and support, urging them to work together for the district’s development.

He emphasized that collective effort and unity were essential to addressing the district’s challenges and delivering meaningful progress for the people.
District Chief Executive Mr. Al-Lattif Teteh Amanor congratulated the Assembly Members for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the election process and encouraged them to continue working together.
He also announced that preparations should begin for the Assembly’s 10th anniversary next year and assured members that the long-awaited District Assembly office complex would soon be completed.
