The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced a temporary suspension of its staff due to unresolved employment-related issues.

In an internal memo dated February 21, 2025, the Chief Executive Officer directed that all staff should cease reporting to work from Monday, February 24, 2025, until the matters are fully addressed.

The decision follows extensive efforts to resolve the complex legal and operational challenges surrounding staff employment. According to the memo, these complications prevent NEIP from utilizing its operational funds to pay staff allowances. Management has, therefore, been instructed to ensure full compliance with due process in regularizing employment matters to avoid further legal ramifications.

The memo further indicated that once the issues are resolved, specific staff may be recalled based on the organization’s needs. Additionally, all employees in possession of NEIP property must return them to the HR Officer by Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Failure to do so will be regarded as deliberate theft.

NEIP has assured employees of further communication regarding any developments and has called for their cooperation and understanding during this period.
