Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area in the Bono Region, has performed a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a fence wall at the Dormaa Senior High School. The project aims to strengthen the school’s security and prevent encroachment.

Speaking at the ceremony held on the school compound at Dormaa-Ahenkro, the chief noted that as the first educational institution established in the area, the school’s infrastructure deserves urgent and continuous attention. He pledged 105 bags of cement and GHC30,000 toward the execution of the project.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II commended the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for its dedication and contributions to the school’s growth. He urged the school to ensure the proper use of the 10,000 building blocks donated by the PTA and asked for accountability regarding another 10,000 blocks he donated in previous years.

The Dormaahene, who also serves as President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, encouraged students to remain disciplined and respectful while calling for the proper maintenance of the 15 dustbins he previously presented to the school. He further pledged to install CCTV cameras to strengthen campus security.

Baffour Kwadwo Damoah Afari, Sanaahene of the Dormaa Traditional Area and Chairman of the PTA, expressed gratitude to the paramount chief for his continuous support. He stated that the fence wall would significantly improve security and curb encroachment on school property.

He added that the PTA has already undertaken several key projects including the construction and fencing of the girls’ dormitory and the purchase of a generator for the school.

Mr. Thomas Asante Armstrong, Headmaster of Dormaa SHS, also thanked the chief for his unwavering support and assured that all building materials donated would be used for their intended purpose.
