Anloga MP supports 15 tertiary students under fourth cohort of Students Support Scheme to boost education and human capital development

Mr Richard Kwame Sefe, Member of Parliament for Anloga Constituency, has extended financial assistance to a new batch of tertiary students under the fourth cohort of his Students Support Scheme, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening education and human capital development in the area.

The latest support package, covering academic fees for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, was presented at a brief ceremony held at the Anloga District Assembly Hall on Thursday.

A total of 15 beneficiaries received assistance as part of this cohort. The event drew parents, community members, and key education stakeholders, including the District Director of Education, Mr Dominic Dzanado.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Sefe expressed profound satisfaction in helping young people pursue their academic ambitions. “Each time I interact with these students, I am reminded of the power of education to change lives and shape communities.

Many of them have inspiring stories of perseverance and determination, and it gives me great joy to know that in our own small way, we are helping to keep their dreams alive,” he said.

He noted that the Students’ Support Scheme was designed to ensure that no hardworking or deserving student in the constituency was denied access to tertiary education due to financial challenges. “Through this initiative, we are investing in the human resource base of our constituency. Education remains the surest path to empowering families and transforming our communities,” he added.

Mr Sefe encouraged the beneficiaries to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their studies, reminding them that the support came with an expectation of future service to the constituency.

He said the hope was that these students would return someday to contribute to the growth and development of Anlo.

Parents and education officials who spoke with the GNA commended the MP for his consistency and dedication to supporting education, describing the intervention as a lifeline for many academically gifted but financially constrained students.

Since its inception, the Students Support Scheme has assisted several cohorts of tertiary students pursuing diverse academic and professional programmes, reflecting Mr Sefe’s broader vision of building an educated and empowered constituency.
