Ada Constituency, Ghana – Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has emerged victorious in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary in the Ada Constituency, garnering 275 votes.
His closest competitor, Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, received 190 votes, while Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto secured 19 votes. Mr Fransis Addai-Nimoh did not receive any votes.
A total of 484 votes were cast, with two ballots rejected at the Presby Boys Boarding School polling station in Big Ada.
Mr Godwin Agudey, the presiding member of the constituency, praised the smooth conduct of the election and commended the delegates for their exemplary behaviour.
“If we were to give a score from zero to 100 percent, I'd say 99 percent because everything went beautifully, and the delegates behaved exceptionally well,” Mr Agudey stated.
“There was no acrimony or misunderstanding, and the agents of the two candidates cooperated effectively, which meant the police had no work to do.”
