Damongo Municipal Chief Executive cuts sod for GHS 24.4 million five-kilometre road project under government’s Year of Roads initiative

Mr Jibril, who is also Minister-designate for the Savannah Region, said the project marked the beginning of several other road projects yet to be undertaken under the national infrastructure drive.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving road networks across the country this year.

Mr Saeed Muhazu Jibril, Municipal Chief Executive for Damongo, has cut the sod for the commencement of a five-kilometre road project in Damongo town aimed at improving access and easing transportation within the area.

The project, estimated to cost more than GHS 24.4 million, forms part of the government’s “Year of Roads” agenda and is expected to be completed within 24 months. It is being undertaken by M/S Naschon Company Limited.

The construction comprises a 3.5-kilometre by-pass and 1.5 kilometres of additional routes within the township.

Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources, who joined the ceremony, assured of his full support and collaboration to ensure the project’s timely completion.
