Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman is poised to leave Premier League club Chelsea permanently after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that both Chelsea and the player have mutually agreed to end their association.
Following the contract termination, the 29-year-old defender will join Greek side PAOK in a permanent deal.
Baba Rahman previously played for PAOK on a six-month loan during the 2021/22 season, making 13 appearances and scoring a goal in 11 starts.
PAOK will secure the services of the player on a free transfer, with Baba Rahman signing a two-year contract that will run until June 2025.
Baba Rahman joined Chelsea in August 2015 from German club Augsburg, impressing in the Bundesliga and earning a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
However, he made just 15 appearances for Chelsea, spending the majority of his time on loan at various clubs including Schalke, Reims, Mallorca, PAOK, and Reading.
The departure from Chelsea marks a new chapter for Baba Rahman, who will now have the opportunity to establish himself at PAOK and contribute to their future success.
