Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 13th Africa Games, has called on Ghanaians to actively publicize and embrace the upcoming continental event.
Ghana secured the hosting rights for the 13th Africa Games in August 2018, and preparations have been underway to ensure a successful tournament.
Dr Ofosu-Asare emphasized the importance of Ghanaians taking advantage of the opportunities the Africa Games present for social and economic progress.
He encouraged individuals and businesses to position themselves well to benefit from the event, which is expected to draw participants from over 54 countries.
Acknowledging the significance of the Africa Games in boosting Ghana's economic growth, Dr Ofosu-Asare highlighted the efforts of the LOC to engage people across the country.
Expressing gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his support throughout the campaign to host the Africa Games, Dr Ofosu-Asare urged all Ghanaians to contribute to the success of the event.
The 13th Africa Games are scheduled to take place from Friday, March 8, 2024, to Saturday, March 23, 2024.
